Some wedding gown designers have very distinctive taste, standing out from the rest, while others have beautiful designs but don’t ever stray off of the beaten path. You will also notice that some wedding dress designers specialize in certain types of gowns, maybe carrying mostly light destination dresses or perhaps extravagant ball gowns.
1. Adele Wechsler
After high school, Adele studied design and fashion in Durban, South Africa; now leading the fashion industry with a showroom and manufacturing space in North America. She has a welcoming alternative with her distinctive designs, especially if you’re looking for something other than the traditional “Cinderella” style wedding gown.
2. Alfred Angelo
This family owned company, originating in the 1930’s, has a knack for high quality and hundreds of dresses in sizes 0-30, and something for every taste and budget.  They also have a large array of options for your bridesmaids, mothers and flower girl.
 3. Alfred Sung
Alfred Sung is Canada’s top fashion designer and international style maker. He has a new collection of pure silk gowns and his paradise collection is perfect for any beach wedding. There isn’t an extensive selection, but certainly some designs you can’t find anywhere else.
 4. David’s Bridal Collection
David’s Bridal has great quality, good fitting wedding dresses at affordable prices, with a selection of gowns priced under $200 up to $1,500. They also offer dresses for your bridal party, tuxedos, accessories, favors and invitations.
5. Allure Bridals
Allure Bridals has some of the most stunning, modern dresses on the market and are available at many stores throughout the United States, Canada and Internationally. Most of their wedding gowns are available in size 2-32. I am very impressed with their website and how easy they make it to browse through their selection of gowns, offering many different views and angles in their galleries. They also offer footwear and bridesmaid dresses.
6.  Amsale
Expect ultra modern, chic and sophisticated dresses with this designer. Nothing over the top, just refined, timeless elegance. Her gallery pictures are mostly runway photos, with 3 alternate views: front, back and close up, with stores locations all throughout the U.S. and internationally. Amsale is also the designer for the Christos Collection of wedding gowns.
 7. Anjolique Bridal
With store locations all over the world, her collection is extraordinary! If you like the trumpet or mermaid style gown, among others, this designer has a large array to choose from. Most of the dresses are $1,500 and above.
8. Anne Barge
Definitely a designer with lots of feminine details, such as floral appliqués and lace; store locations in the United States, Asia, Australia, Europe, Canada and the Middle East.
 9. Aria
A beautiful selection of wedding gowns as well as bridesmaid dresses, many of them with the sash or bridal belt style, but limited in their retail locations. Most of their show rooms are in California, D.C., Colorado, Massachusetts, Georgia, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, Amsterdam, and Toronto, Canada.
 10. Bonny Bridal
With convenient stores all over the U.S. and Canada, Bonny Bridal’s gowns are stylish, romantic and traditional. They also offer a large array of plus size gowns, as well as prom, informal, special occasion and pageant dresses. Check out #1112 in the plus size wedding dress section on their website. Love it!
11. Casablanca Bridal
This designer offers lots of beadwork and hand embroidery, with an incredible vintage feel. This is one of my favorite collections, and made for all sizes with their custom fit, even able to customize their gowns to your own particular preference by changing the neckline or adding sleeves.
 12. Eden Bridals
Wow! So far, this is my favorite designer. Gorgeously detailed and breathtaking wedding gowns with unique styles and embroidery that I’ve never seen before. Eden also offers dresses for your bridal party as well as accessories, and has store locations all over the world.
 13. Cosmobella
Cosmobella offers many ball gown style dresses, with abundant ruffles and layers; trend-proof and timeless, with many shops around the world.
14. Dere Kiang
This designer prides itself on providing the highest quality but yet affordable wedding dress prices in many different styles and lengths, from under $1,000 up to $3,000.
 15. Maggie Sottero
Ready to go gaga over a wedding dress? Just browse through their wedding dress gallery! It makes me want to get married all over again. Maggie has received numerous bridal industry awards, as well as a host of other nominations. Check out her impeccable style!
 16. Ella Bridals
Ella offers an enchanting collection with dramatic beading and lovely laces. I particularly like the unique designs on the back of some of her gowns. Fine designs with competitive prices at many professional retailers in most areas.

17. Enzoani
Fabulous collections, using the modern belt and sash in many of their gown designs. I also like their large floral details and layered skirts. Check out some of their older collections as well if you’d like to see more ivory colored options. Many locations throughout the world.
18. Essence of Australia
Not just available in Australia! Essence is a worldwide leader in bridal fashion, setting themselves apart from many of the other designers. Take a peek at style #D800, lace over a charmeuse gown; stunning!

19. Eugenia
Available all though out the United States, Eugenia has gorgeous detail in her dresses as well as some short styles to choose from.
20. Camille La Vie
One of the most extensive and exciting collections of wedding apparel! From simple to ornate, ravishing, detailed, short, ball gown, vintage, grecian, you name it!
21. J. Crew Weddings
Many affordable styles to choose from, although I didn’t find anything too exciting or extravagant. A lot of their models slouch and frown? Is that the new “sexy”? I don’t know, but If you are looking for a casual wedding dress at a decent price, I’d recommend visiting their website.
 22. Jacquelin Exclusive 
Jacquelin Exclusive has been a leader in the wedding dress fashion industry since 1994. I found the website easy to browse through, with the option to search by price, unlike most of their competitors. You can find her dresses just about anywhere around the world.
 23. James Clifford Collection
This prestigious designer has a beautiful selection with unmistakable styles. I found a dress on his site that I wish was around while I was choosing my gown: Style #J11009S, show here on the left.
 24. Jasmine Couture
Although the site was confusing to navigate, I couldn’t help but stay a while to check out her fabulous designs! She uses a lot of big billowing skirts and colored sashes. She also has dresses for your bridesmaids and other women in your bridal party.
 25. Jim Hjelm
This designer has exquisite details, creating bridal wear that is fashion-forward. Each dress has it’s own individual look and special details.
 26. Jordan Bridals
Available all though out the U.S., Jordan Bridals had a couple of dresses in particular that I haven’t seen, with contrasting trim available in over 75 different colors of your choice! Could it be any easier to find a dress that matches your wedding theme or favorite color? Style# M567 and M560, the first two from the left shown here, available in size 0-30.
27. Judd Waddell
Available in select locations, Judd Wadell, who designed Twentieth Century Fox’s, “The Object of my Affection”, has some gorgeous designs! He has a large selection of strapless gowns with ornamental belts and sashes.
 28. Justin Alexander
With a huge gallery of wedding gowns, you’re sure to find the perfect dress in Justin Alexander’s selection. He also has quite a few options in tea length and short wedding dresses. Check out style #8558, a beautiful lace, vintage design, first one shown here on the far left.
 29. Kenneth Pool
Available in the U.S. only, Kenneth has a very limited selection of modern, long wedding dresses that scream 2013!
 30. Kittychen Couture
That’s all I have to say is, Wow! Unbelievable, timeless style. One in particular that stood out was style #H1037, a fairy-like ball gown in antique rose, first one shown below here on the left. This designer has retail locations all though out the world.
31. Pronovias
One of the world’s leading bridal houses, Pronovias has many gorgeous and modern wedding gowns to choose from, with locations all around the world. Most of their gowns are very extravagant with many ornate details. If you would like to see great runway shows, I’d recommend visiting their site.
32. Lazaro
I absolutely love their collection of both bridal and bridesmaid dresses! They also have well put together runway videos.

33. Liancarlo
Stunning designs with lots of ornate beadwork for you and your bridal party. This designer also has a great selection of detachable bridal belts and vintage, chic jewelry.
34. Liz Fields
With locations all over the U.S. and Canada, this designer has some very unique, vintage inspired dresses, and a fabulous array of destination wedding gowns! She also carries a large line of beautiful bridesmaid dresses.
35. Monique Lhuillier
Monique Lhuillier has a distinctive fairy tale quality to her dresses, with charming romantic touches, such as soft colors, sparkles, ruffles, and exquisite fabrics. Her dresses definitely bring out the princess in any bride!
36. Vera Wang
Looking for a dress with a lot of personality and a touch of rock n’ roll? Vera Wang has a slightly off beat style, yet with classic charm and beauty. Her newest collection even offers black as a color option.
37. Oscar de la Renta
Oscar has made a name for himself in the bridal community with his exquisitely unique bridal collection. He has everything from traditional to extreme, able to capture the unique personality of brides from all around the world.
38. Watters
Soft and sophisticated is the perfect way to describe the Watters Bridal Collection, with the use of feminine and layered sheer materials, such as organza, tulle, and lace. The collection is quite easy to fall in love with.
39. Yolan Cris
This is one of the most stunning designers that I’ve come across so far. The attention to detail is absolutely spectacular. Most of their dresses are quite unique, using several different textures and layers in each dress. You can browse their dresses by style, making it easy to find the perfect fit for you.
40. Anna Campbell
It’s the back of her dresses that ooze with amazing intricacy. If you are a lace fan, you’re sure to find the perfect romantic dress. Each dress appears to be hand stitched with careful attention to detail.
